The St. Petersburg International Legal Forum will start on June 26. Nikita Zharov, Head of Tax Compliance practice area, commented on the key topics of the upcoming St. Petersburg International Legal Forum 2024 in Pravo.ru.

Every year St. Petersburg International Legal Forum becomes the largest platform for a dialogue between business and the state on various legal issues - from the topical issue of digitalization to no less important aspects of the development of the legal services market and legal education. 

Undoubtedly, the main emphasis this year, as in the past, is placed on international legal cooperation between Russia and foreign countries under sanctions and legal protection of Russia's national interests. 

In connection with the forthcoming modernization of the tax system and consideration of a large-scale tax reform currently under consideration in the State Duma, special attention is drawn to the sessions devoted to tax issues. This issue is of particular interest to both the legal community and business representatives.

Tax Compliance, as a business partner of the forum, will hold a session «Parameters of a fair tax system. Expectations and possible difficulties», where it will discuss with the participants the key provisions of the tax reform. 

For many lawyers, the forum is a platform for working out the main directions for improving the current legislation and solving systemic problems of law enforcement.
