On June 9 Alexander spoke at the conference "Criminal Liability of Business" organized by Pravo.ru

During the sessions of the conference Pravo.ru experts considered the urgent issues of criminal liability of business and discussed, in particular:

  • Peculiarities of challenging investigative actions interfering with business activities.
  • Necessity of appointment of expertise on economic crimes in criminal proceedings.
  • Toughening of supervisory authorities in cross-border business operations.
  • And many relevant topics of concern to the business community in connection with sanctions pressure. 


At this event, as part of the session on "Business in Criminal Proceedings. Economic crimes in the context of proof", Alexander talked about the "subtleties of interrogation" in cases of economic crimes, and also examined in more detail the differences between questioning in the framework of an initiated criminal case and questioning during a preliminary investigation, as well as what to do in this or that situation.
