Digital ruble and customs monitoring

The Pravo.ru website published an article that the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, with the support of 15 banks, will check how the digital ruble works. Its appearance should reduce the risk of losing money for clients of credit institutions.

According to the rules, the customs authorities carry out electronic monitoring of vehicles and cargoes entering the territory of Russia. To do this, drivers and freight forwarders must provide customs authorities with information on the name of the cargo, its quantity and value, as well as the route of the movement in a timely manner.

These rules of customs monitoring imply a closer cooperation of customs authorities with other government organizations, such as the Federal Tax Service, Rosstandart and Rospotrebnadzor. This allows more effective control over goods imported into the territory of Russia and prevent their counterfeit production and distribution.

"Now one of the trends in tax state regulation is to make it easier for taxpayers to interact with the inspectorate. This way the authorities want to encourage individuals to come out of the shadows and pay taxes in the amount prescribed by law," said Evgeniya Zainchukovskaya, senior tax consultant at Tax Compliance.
