The 17th Annual Tax Congress 2023, organized by Trinity Events, took place on May 23.

Nikita Zharov, Head of Tax Compliance practice area, spoke at the practical session "Tax planning and cross-border transactions in holdings" on "A company in the UAE in a group structure. Tax aspects of doing business". During his speech, Nikita discussed the main tax challenges of doing business in the UAE.

And senior tax consultants Evgeniya Zainchukovskaya and Ivan Tsvetkov spoke within the discussion club (thematic "round tables") on "Taxes and real estate: current issues from practice" and told about:

  • Property tax provisions: how to find and return an overpayment?
  • The tax consequences of unintentional disruption of construction: what must be taken into consideration to minimize risks?
  • Protecting the interests of property owners: current issues of reducing the cadastral value and the exclusion of objects from the cadastral list.

The event was focused on various issues of tax law, including tax policy, corporate taxation, individual taxation and customs. Participants were able to discuss problems related to the tax system and create new ideas for improving the system in the future.
