We are talking about blocking due to failure to pay taxes on time, explained Alexander Dmitriev, a lawyer at the law firm Tax Compliance:
- The blockage may also be the result of failure to file returns. Another reason is prescription of interim measures on the account within the frames of the decision of the department on recovery of taxes, fees and penalties, which has come into force. Failure to provide information to the Federal Tax Service on the requirements (including in the framework of the audit) could also be such grounds.
The Federal Tax Service takes the decision on the seizure of the account automatically, but in order to unblock it faster it is possible to duplicate the payment order or an inventory of the document attachment: send it by courier and deliver it to the office of the tax authority, added Dmitriev.
